A traditional hostel with a personal atmosphere, it’s centrally located in this historic seaside resort. Facilities include a combined lounge/dining room with T.V. and video, self-catering kitchen, showers, drying room, cycle store, simple laundry facilities and garden with barbeque. Outdoor pursuits are the name of the day and a stroll along the award-winning beach half a mile away is a must. Today the 26 miles of golden sands that spread around the towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate offer plenty of opportunities for enjoyment, from windsurfing and kitesurfing through to the more traditional pastimes of sunbathing and building sandcastles. Broadstairs alone has seven sandy bays including Joss Bay, which gave its name to smuggling leader Joss Snelling, whose gang fought the notorious Battle of Botany Bay. Today, the bay is more favoured by surfers than smugglers.
