As well as camping, this unique site has wigwams that combine the experience of camping with a few home comforts! They are fully insulated and double glazed and come comfortably equipped with foam mattresses, seating and a table. Each Wigwam has electricity providing you with light and heat and can easily accommodate up to five people. 3 miles of golden sands stretch from the famous first hole at the Machrihanish Golf Course through to West Port. The beach is within easy walking distance of the site and is internationally recognised as a surfing beach. Machrihanish Beach is in line for a Seaside Award which will lead subsequently to a Blue Flag Award in 2004. Water samples tested by SEPA prove that our beach is one of the cleanest in Scotland! We are a short walk from the Beachcomber Bar/Restaurant - a great little pub overlooking the beach which serves good quality bar meals. There are regular buses into The Wee Toon - bustling and vibrant Campbeltown. Campbeltown is so pretty nestling around a sea loch overlooking Davaar Island. Its streets bustle with life and it boasts galleries, shops and pubs.
