Elwell Manor is a mid-Victorian villa just a ten minute walk from Weymouth Harbour, Brewer’s Quay, the old town and shopping centre and is close to the main beach and the ferry to the Channel Islands. It is a short walk to Portland Harbour, Castle Cove Sailing Club, Weymouth Sailing Centre, Castle Cove Beach and windsurfing and diving facilities. They have two double rooms, two twin rooms and one single room, all with washing facilities, and guests have use of a private bathroom and shower room. All rooms have tea and coffee-making facilities and colour television. Breakfast may be taken in the breakfast room or the conservatory. There’s wet storage and a hosing area for windsurfers. Ample car-parking.

Portland is considered to be a first class location for windsurfing and is visited by thousands of sailors throughout the year. Together with Weymouth, it hosts a number of annual events including the Four Nations Windsurfing Championship. Portland Harbour’s sheltered location allows it to be used both by expert and beginner surfers. Measuring 3 x 2 miles, this historical Harbour of national importance can be sailed in any wind direction.
