Errant Surf Camp

ErrantErrant

Imagine waking up to the warm Saharan sun beaming through your window as you stretch your surfed out body, ready for another day packed full of waves. You pull on your shorts and head upstairs to the roof terrace for breakfast. The laid-back discussion this morning, like most mornings, is about where to surf today. Glancing over towards the ocean you can see the perfect waves of Banana Point peeling and the fun waves of Devils Rock breaking onto the golden sand. As far as you can see to the North, is beach and perfect waves and in the far distance is Killer Point and the village of Taghazoute.

This is the scene right now, at our surf camp in Tamraght, located a short drive from the infamous village of Taghazoute and a five-minute walk to the beach. The surf camp sits upon a small hill overlooking the ocean and from this vantage point, many a surf session has been planned and thousands of beautiful sunsets celebrated with a cold beer after a hard day in the waves.

The guesthouse is very typical of Moroccan style, with high walls enclosing a range of single, double and quad rooms, which are all wonderfully decorated. There are two big living spaces for surfers to congregate in the evenings, and what really makes this guesthouse special is the big roof top terrace. There is also a beach shack, which is exclusively for you to use. The beach shack has a toilet, cold shower and a shaded area for you to relax under at the end of the day or to get some respite from the midday sun.
