Freeride Surf Camp
The Freeride Surfcamp & School, it’s based at the picturesque village of Sagres, its set at a sea view villa right in the top of the Mareta beach (3 min. walking distance) and in the centre of town. The house, a typical Algarve Villa, is fully equipped with all modern amenities on a cool and familiar atmosphere (Cable TV, Playstation, surf videos…). At the Surfcamp you can also find technical surf material, surfboards, wetsuits, classifieds, etc.
On the backyard terrace, apart from chilling on the hammocks or at the cushions you can also skate with an eye on the ocean and another on the half pipe. Before the nightfall, you can get down to the beach to either quietly watch the sunset, or to enjoy the region shellfish together with a good Portuguese wine at the beach restaurant. If you more into action you can’t miss the late afternoon party’s, going on at the Tonel beach bar, just 5 minutes walking distance from the Surfcamp. Now, don’t be late for the dinner with the rest of the crew and keep some energy for the dancing at the “agua salgada” bar or at the disco. And be careful with the hangovers, because on the next morning a full day of surfing will be waiting for you!
Back to the Surfcamp; the accommodation is made of cosy bedrooms sleeping 4 or 6 in bunk beds, 2 bathrooms, a living room and chill out on the loft, kitchen and large patio. Here, at the Surfcamp you will also find an animated team of surf coaches and other staff ready to help you in everything you need.
The places at the Surfcamp are kept low ( no more than 16 participants per week); the booking should be made as soon as possible to assure your place on the date you wish. The Freeride is a certified surf school by the Portuguese Surf Federation, all our surf coaches are qualified within the F.P.S. (Portuguese Surf Federation), and have a long experience in surf teaching.
The surf lessons will be planned daily by the surf monitors, taking into consideration the participants surf level and the meteorological conditions. The surf monitors speak Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Accommodation can be booked with or without surf lessons.
