Enjoy the unspoilt landscape and seascape of north western Ireland from the relaxed setting of our friendly hostel in Donegal. Take advantage of the many activities available locally, from walking and fishing to surfing, canoeing and sand yachting. Our closest beach is all of a four minute walk away. Stretching along the Atlantic coast, the beach boasts over 3km of clean sands. Wide and flat, it is ideal for all manner of beach activities. If you want to soak up the rich local atmosphere, then a visit to the many local pubs is a must. All year round local musicians get together to play traditional music. New players are always welcome to join in these sessions - the more the merrier! Whether you are looking for a secluded spot in which to enjoy some peace and quiet, an ideal setting for water sports and outdoor pursuits or are just looking for the craic, Gweebarra Bay is for you.

Staying at the hostel means that you are just a few minutes from Dooey Strand, where you can enjoy some fantastic surfing. Direct views of the beach mean that you can check out the swell without even needing to step outdoors.
