The Hostel sits on the shore in the picturesque village of Port Charlotte. With its rolling hills, the peninsula is characterised by a mixture of moorland, scrub and farmland. The shoreline is craggy and two of the prettiest, secluded beaches on Islay are just a short distance away. You can cycle right round the island, taking in the scenic shoreline. A good spot for wildlife watchers, you could see ravens, buzzards and, possibly, an eagle. Good facilities and a warm welcome make this a popular hostel.

This hostel is close to the surf at Saligo with a selection of more sheltered bays facing away from the Atlantic coast which is pounded by heavy swell. A stunning place to explore.
