Ocean Backpackers is a clean and homely hostel, which offers comfortable and spacious accommodation at great prices. The hostel is a 3 Crown Hotel, built by a master boat builder around 1860 and used to house a wine merchants, confectionary and bakery during the Victorian era. In 1999 it underwent an extensive renovation to create an up market international hostel. The location could not be better; we are in Ilfracombe harbour, the main bus station, which brings coaches from London, Heathrow and Birmingham is opposite the hostel, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, convenience stores we have 7 pubs within 150 metres of the hostel. Ilfracombe has way more in terms of entertainment than any of the surrounding towns. Our licensed maritime theme restaurant serves delicious meals and our late night bar can be opened to groups on request. We have sports equipment and baggage storage (ideal for surfboards and bikes) and a wetsuit drying room.

This is a perfect location to make the most out of exploring the surf in North Devon and having a bit more of a social scene on your doorstep.
