YHA Poppit Sands is set in five acres of grounds that reach to the sea. It overlooks a fantastic Blue Flag sandy beach and bay where, if you keep your eyes peeled, you may spot dolphins and seals. Activity courses are run from the hostel, which has been extensively refurbished and is now run using sustainable technologies. Horseriding, cycling, birdwatching, fishing and boat trips are all available in the area.

You can surf at Poppit Sands but its probably better for kitesurfers and windsurfers owing to the big often flat expanses of water.
