The secluded eleven mile sandy beach with its giant dunes has a summer seal colony and huge variety of birdlife. Attractions include the lighthouse, shipwrecks, seals, birds, nature reserve, ruins of 18th century fishing village and c13th century Chapel, chain of WWII pillboxes. The generally good weather makes this one of the driest, sunniest areas of Scotland and we are fortunate not to be affected by the dreaded Scottish midge. Our home is the most eastern rural B&B on mainland Scotland. We have five rooms, all with a small TV and superb views across the adjacent fields to the dunes and sea beyond. We offer drinks in the lounge with fresh milk in a small fridge, but please feel free to take drinks to your room just as you would at home.

This area of Scotland is gaining a reputation as a top surfing and kitesurfing location. The standard of surfing here is high and Fraserburgh now hosts top level kitesurfing competitions that rarely disappoint.
