A place to rest and relax among huge dunes and 11 mile beach. You are very welcome to join us, Rob and Val, at our isolated former lighthouse shore station in this gorgeous most easterly part of mainland Scotland opposite the northern tip of Denmark. This is one of the driest, sunniest, midge-free areas of Scotland and many hours can be spent exploring the shipwrecks and ruined village and chapel.
The 1892 granite accommodation block has been renovated to form a non-smoking, dog-friendly coastal retreat with full disabled access. The ground floor hostel and two first floor holiday flats offer all the modern conveniences you would expect. The two bedrooms each have two sets of bunkbeds sleeping 4, so offering separate sex bedrooms. All equipment can be securely locked away and wet clothing will dry overnight in the wet/dry room.
This area of Scotland is gaining a reputation as a top surfing and kitesurfing location. The standard of surfing here is high and Fraserburgh now hosts top level kitesurfing competitions that rarely disappoint.
