Northern Ireland

Stunningly situated right on the north coast of Northern Ireland, Downhill Hostel overlooks this area’s longest beach and the Atlantic. For location you simply cannot beat it. Although now a hostel, this Victorian building itself is named Glenhassan Hall and is as grand inside as the name suggests. From just £9 per person per night, the level of accommodation here is unbelievable with original fireplaces in the lounge and a dining room overlooking the ocean.
Benone Strand is set in an idyllic location surrounded by beautiful scenery and is the only beach in the north where kitesports are actively encouraged by the local council. It is a popular beach in the summer but at 10km long, there is enough room to cater for everyone. Also popular with surfers, there is a fairly consistent right hand bank right in front of the hostel which can carry for over 150m on a good day as well as a whole host of other breaks in the area.
