Scarborough is situated on the North Yorkshire coast and is thought to be Britain’s first holiday resort. These days, travel on the M1 or A1 over a weekend and see the number of cars and vans heading towards beaches such as Scarborough, Cayton Bay and other spots along the east coast with surfboards on the roof. This hostel used to be a riverside mill but now offers traditional accommodation near the sea and the Moors.
