We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about ourselves and the Selomar. We, the proprietors, are Ken and Irene Broadbent and it has been our home and (home from home for our guests) since 1978. Over the years we have updated our facilities and have been awarded a rating of 4 diamonds by the English Tourism Council. All of our bedrooms are fully en-suite an importantly we hasten to add that while endeavoring to keep up with today’s discerning holidaymaker, unlike many hoteliers who have kept the same number of rooms, we have adopted the policy for our alterations to reduce the number of bedrooms and go for spaciousness instead. Our hotel is situated in Scarborough’s picturesque North Bay and commands some excellent sea views and is just a stones throw away from the historic Scarborough Castle.
For those of you who wish to relax with a drink we offer our late night sea view bar.

The Selomar Hotel has recently received the prestigious Guild of Master Caterers Award being one of only two hotels in Scarborough to receive this honour.
