St Vedas Hotel is situated near St Abbs and overlooking Coldingham Bay one of the most beautiful bays on the East Scottish coastline. Coldingham Bay is one of the cleanest, most beautiful and one of the best-sheltered beaches on the east coast, making it an ideal choice for the family holiday or for that fun day at the beach. Coldingham bay holds a magical spell that once you visit the bay you will just want to keep coming back. The beach is approximately 90 Meters from the hotel, which overlooks the bay; there is also a beach cafe and surf shop which are under the management of St Vedas Hotel. Porpoise can often be seen feeding in the bay. During the peak holiday season for that peace of mind when your family are bathing in the sea there is a lifeguard to make sure every one is safe.

When the conditions are right surfing at Coldingham Bay is as good as anywhere in Scotland. Surfers travel regularly from as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh to catch the waves.
