Surf School Company
We offer both accommodation and surf instruction. Camps are for all levels of surf, from complete beginners to experienced surfers. The instructors will take you in the school vehicles searching for the beach with the best conditions of the day, you will have short board, mini Malibu or long board and wetsuit at your disposal for the entire week. You will have a surf course in the morning and afternoon the coaches will guide you through surfing basic fundamentals to have you standing and riding your own wave. The program has been developed to take participants from entry level surfers to a level of competency where they can participate both safely and confidently in this exciting sport.
Accomodation is in a traditional Portuguese country house that can take up to 10 people. It is surf decorated, has satellite tv, dvd to watch movies and surf videos, playstation, guitars, drums to play, internet and wooden stove wich makes it very cosy on cold nights. Outdoor, there is a couple of caravans for more 6 people, one small swimming pool, a basketball net, volleyball net, a table tennis and bikes to use. The breakfast is at the house, in front to the swimming pool where everyone can sit and talk about the “surf day”. Lunch is at the beach, we take the lunch bags with sandwich, fruit, cookies, juices and water, where you can look at our best surfers showing the surf manouvers.
One day of the week we have dinner at local restaurants and the rest of the days we have dinner at home. We make different traditional dishes of the region, barbecues, and the house has a kitchen garden and oven to make bread, pizzas, garlic bread and etc. The instructors often go fishing with you to catch sea food that you later cook so get ready for tasty dinners.
After dinner you can relax and see the movies that we have filmed on the beach that day or you can go to the parties in Lagos and Sagres the best night in Europe. But don`t make it long because you have to get ready for the next day of surf!
