SURFSHACKS IS BACK!
Surfshacks is finally back online!

It’s taken around two months to get everything sorted, but Surfshacks has finally recovered from its near death experience. In June 2006, under the hacker username of w33tab1x, we were hacked by a young man called Jason Mountcastle from Telford, England. Much of the site was destroyed rendering Surfshacks unusable by the general public and unrecoverable from back-up files due to the most unfortunate timing. The motive for this inexcusable act remains unknown. All we do know is that it forced us to go offline at our busiest time of the year and fork out cash we don’t have to get things going again. Nevertheless, perhaps we should thank our friend, Jason Mountcastle, since the site is now looking more proper bo and is much easier to navigate than ever before. After all the blood, sweat and one arm press ups, we hope you agree that it has been worth the wait.
We are here to help all types of boardriders plan a road trip in the UK & Ireland. We continue to search for new places to stay and appreciate any help which you may be able to offer in terms of letting us know of a great campsite near the beach or a bunkhouse overlooking the surf. As you will notice, we are a great arena for photography with the wallpaper downloads we offer. We encourage all photographers to get in touch with any enquiries as to getting your work on the site or in the articles we write.
Please continue to look out for our regular article, ‘Spot Detective’, in the ‘Spy Network’ section of Kiteworld magazine. Surfshacks also has a big article in the forthcoming issue of Drift Magazine which details ten of the best places to stay and surf in Britain.
Similarly, we are very keen to promote anything beneficial to boardsports in the UK & Ireland including any club events, demo days, film nights, beach cleans, etc. Please get in touch if you would like to have something put on the site.
Remember, there’s nothing better than a road trip. Surfshacks is your resource & any help or spreading of the word benefits you all directly. The more Surfshacks has to offer, the more ways in which we can explore the amazing possibilities that exist for boardriders on our shores.
Awareness encourages experience which in turn can lead to wisdom. No secret spots.
