A warm Northumbrian welcome to the Joiners Shop Bunkhouse from Wal & Annie Wallace – the perfect base from which you and your friends can experience all that this beautiful part of England has to offer. Nestling in the peaceful wooded hamlet of Preston, near the village of Chathill, this charming 19th Century building offers the haven you need to refuel, relax, entertain or just chill out. Inside, you’ll find there’s room for plenty – with 18 large pine bunk beds, arranged in heated dormitories of twos and threes.

But long before you settle down for a good night’s sleep, you’ll want to take full advantage of our hot showers, fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area. And not least, the chance to lounge in front of a roaring log fire. Whatever your personal preferences, we can tailor your stay here. We’ve hosted several training events and can cater for groups, large or small. What’s more, we can arrange activity breaks on request. An idylic area, nearby Bamburgh beach is a lovely sandy beach overlooked by the castle with a good reputation for waves. Perfectly clear sea and smooth surf for some soul sessions.
