Tribo do Mar is located in Consolação, the Southern part of Peniche. From here all waves in the region (more than 25 breaks) are reached within 15 minutes driving. Consolação is a beautiful, peaceful village with several surfbreaks on its doorstep. The reefs are found on the left side of the fortress and on the right side there is a long stretch of beach. This beach leads you from Supertubos to the town of Peniche. Supertubos, the most famous beachbreak of Portugal, is within a walking distance of 15 minutes.

Consolação not only offers good waves, it is a pleasure for everybody who likes nature, diverse and stunning beaches, beautiful sunsets and good food. The Peniche area is famous for its gastronomy. There are many dishes to taste, many fish to be eaten. Peniche also has a good nightlife, there are lots of bars around. Consolação has good bakeries, several authentic restaurants and a supermarket, all within walking distance.

Tribo do Mar offers different types of accommodation. We have apartments, rooms and houses for surfers and non-surfers. The apartments, rooms and houses are in Consolação, a beautiful village close to Peniche.All apartments and rooms are clean, have cooking facilities and are within five minutes from the beach. Surfschool Tribo do Mar is in the center of Consolaçã. All teachers are licensed surf instructors and experienced surfers. They know the Peniche area very well and take you to the most appropriate beach for your level. There is the choice between either one or two classes a day. Tribo do Mar takes security seriously and there is an absolute maximum of 6 people per teacher. The surfmaterial that we use is in good shape and there are wetsuits in every size, also for kids. The material that we have for rent includes a wide range of shortboards. Come to the school and choose your board.

Surfguiding - For the experienced surfer Tribo do Mar provides surfguiding. Instead of renting a car, we transport you the best waves in the area. There are more than 25 waves to be surfed all in a reach of 15 minutes driving. Because the peninsula has a North and a South side there are always offshore conditions.
