Windy Gyle Bunkhouse and Beal Expedition Centre are both ideally situated in North Northumberland, the Cheviot Hills, Northumbrian Heritage Coast, Farne Islands; Rivers Till and Tweed and many fine crags and forests are nearby. Windy Gyle Bunkhouse is in the village of Belford (includes two bed ensuite); Beal Expedition Centre is approx 7 miles north of Belford (no laundry or internet facilities). Windy Gyle and Beal Expedition Centre have easy access to the A1. Both properties comprise a kitchen and dining room, shower and toilet facilities, the dormitories range from 3 to 12 beds. Sleeping bags are required and the prices are as follows: bed & breakfast £15 pppn, full board £20 pppn, self catering £10 pppn. Exclusive use and catering services can be arranged. A full range of outdoor activities and instruction is available including canoeing, kayaking, climbing & abseiling, windsurfing and sailing.

These bunkhouses are ideal for those seeking watersports instruction or looking to combine boardsports with climbing. The area is superb for both and you’d be hard pressed to find a better location for the two activities.
